Chinese Medicine

The practice of Chinese Medicine includes many modalities.

At Phil Settels Acupuncture, patients can be helped with Acupuncture, Customized Herbal Formulas, Manual Therapy, and Nutritional and Lifestyle Counselling.

Phil Settels Licensed Acupuncturist

Phil loves helping people, and he loves Chinese Medicine.

He graduated at the top of his class from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in 2011, obtaining a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has gone on to pursue advanced studies in both Herbalism and Orthopedic Acupuncture, spending well over 1,000 hours studying with some of the best teachers in the US and in China.

He is crazy enough to be pursuing two doctorate degrees; one in Oakland (DAOM) and a second in Nanjing, China (PhD), both of which are expected to be completed in 2019.

He specializes in the management and resolution of pain, and also chronic disease such as autoimmune, cardiovascular, digestive, metabolic, etc.

Phil is the Dean of Academics and also a professor at the Chinese Medicine school in Oakland, but has moved to Sacramento with his lovely family and is now seeing patients on Mondays and Fridays in Sacramento.
